Township Governance

Wooster Township is governed by a three-member Board of Trustees. Trustees are elected in November of odd-numbered years to serve four-year terms beginning on the following January 1.
Two trustees are elected in the year following a presidential election, and one trustee is elected in the year before it.

In addition, the township has an elected Fiscal Officer who serves a four-year term beginning on April 1 of the year after the election, which is held in November of the year before the presidential election.
If a vacancy occurs on the board or in the fiscal officership, it is filled by the remaining trustees.
